Privacy
No servers. Your chats go only to the AI companies you pick.
Relay is an app on your Mac. It has no servers of its own, so there is no Relay account, no Relay copy of your chats, and nothing of yours for us to see.
Where your chats go
Relay runs on the ChatGPT and Claude accounts you sign in with. When you send a message, it goes from your Mac to the company whose model answers it: OpenAI for ChatGPT, Anthropic for Claude. They handle it under your account with them and their own privacy policies.
Your Google apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets) connect through your ChatGPT account, not through Relay. When a request needs them, it goes to ChatGPT, the same as if you had asked there.
Two extras, off unless you turn them on
Relay works without either of these. Each one needs a key you add in Settings, and each one receives text only while it’s on.
Files each new chat in the right space (Work, School, Personal…). It receives the message you’re sending and the names of your spaces and projects.
Speaks replies aloud. It receives the text of the reply it speaks.
Turn either one off and Relay stops sending it anything.
